Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to wrap a vehicle?
The cost of vehicle wrapping is dependent on many factors such as the size of the vehicle, the extent of the wrap and the finish and design. Each vehicle wrapping job is a one off bespoke service, so we cannot accurately give any realistic guide prices without knowing what you want and the size of vehicle it is for. Please contact us on 0800 5422 154 and we’ll happily advise you on the cost of vehicle wrapping.
How long does it take to wrap a car?
To properly wrap a car, we need to clean and prepare the body and remove the lights, indicators, number plates, door handles, etc. before applying the wrap. So two days is normal for a standard full body wrap. Once wrapped, we ensure it meets our quality standards before notifying you it is ready for collection.
Can vehicle wrapping be removed?
One of the major benefits of vehicle wrapping is its ease of removal. At any point in the future, the wrap can be removed to reveal the vehicles original paintwork. This makes vehicle wrapping perfect for liveried commercial vehicles, allowing them to be resold with the wrap removed, for a greater resale price than a used liveried commercial vehicle.
Can you wrap the interior of a vehicle?
Yes, but this is not part of our standard service. If you would also like the interior of a vehicle wrapping, please contact us for a quote.
What materials do you use for vehicle wrapping?
We use only the best vehicle wrapping films available on the market. Major global brands including 3M, Hexis, Metamark and Avery Dennison to produce the best vinyl wraps available in a wide range of styles and finishes. Depending on the type and extent of vehicle wrapping you require, we will select the best product from one of the leading brands to suit your needs and your budget.
How long will the wrap last?
Under normal conditions, vehicle wrapping should last up to five years. However, the life span can be inhibited by the condition of the body work prior to wrapping, and the way a vehicle is treated once wrapped.
Can I take a wrapped vehicle through a mechanical car wash?
We advise against using mechanical carwashes for wrapped vehicles as the cleaning brushes may be too harsh and abrasive. Instead, we recommend either hand washing or jet washing in warm soapy water.
Does vehicle wrapping come with a warranty or guarantee?
At All About Wraps, we offer warranties and guarantees of up to three years, depending on the finish required. We will be able to properly advise you on this when we know what you want.
Are you insured?
Of course! All our staff are fully insured to drive, store and work on any vehicle up to a value of £500,000. We also carry full public liability and employee liability insurance policies.
Will the wrap damage my paintwork?
So long as your paintwork is sound (i.e. not bubbling, peeling or flaking), then the wrapping film we use will not damage it. We do not cut the wraps on the car body and are careful not to damage the paintwork during application. Vehicle wrapping, once applied will preserve the paintwork beneath in the condition it was in prior to wrapping, and removal of the wrap will not damage the paintwork either (so long as it was sound beforehand).
What if I have stone-chips in the paintwork?
Vehicle wrapping can be applied over lightly stone-chipped areas, such as the front bumper, bonnet and wings. Depending on the depth and severity of any stone-chips, the lacquer may be lifted when the wrap is removed.
The car has had accident repairs, will this cause a problem?
So long as any accident repairs have been carried out properly, and expertly re-sprayed, wrapping over accident repairs should not be a problem. However, if any accident repairs and subsequent re-spraying is substandard, it may ‘lift’ when the wrap is removed. We cannot guarantee against lacquer lift when one of our wraps is removed unless we have provided this in writing before the wrap is applied.
